Lepidosauria:
The Lepidosauria are reptiles with overlapping scales. They include the tuataras, lizards, snakes and amphisbaenians. Lepidosaurians are the most successful of modern reptiles.
Some salient features of the super-order Lepidosauria are: 1.Two temporal vacuities are present on each side. 2.Anterior orbital vacuities are absent. 3.Post-temporal fenestrae are usually present. 4.Humerus with two foramina.
