CLASSIFICATION OF VERTEBRATES

 

The sub-phylum vertebrata, under which the vertebrates are classified, comes under the phylum Chordata.  This can be visualized from the synoptic classification below.

It can be noted in the above table that, examples are not given in the classification of

1. Amphibia

2. Reptilia

3. Aves  and

4. Mammalia
